GODSENT have kept their spot in the ECS league after defeating Natus Vincere 2-1 in the Challenger Cup's consolidation final.
With Gambit already through to ECS after beating Na`Vi in the upper bracket final on Thursday evening, three teams remained in contention heading into the final day of the double-elimination Challenger Cup.
The first match of the day, pitting GODSENT against HEROIC, ended with a straightforward 2-0 win for the Swedish side, who knew they would have to work hard to win their next match after losing to Na`Vi earlier in the tournament.
GODSENT will continue in ECS
The all-deciding consolidation final began on Train, where GODSENT ran out 16-6 victors after taking an impressive 12 rounds on the Terrorist side. With Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and Egor "flamie" Vasilyev both dropping a 30-bomb, Natus Vincere replied with a 16-11 win on Mirage to tie up the series at 1-1. The final map, Overpass, was Hampus "hampus" Poser' s playground, with the 19-year-old firing his team to a comprehensive 16-7 win with a solid performance highlighted by a 1.70 rating and a 120 ADR.
